Neighbourhood Trade Schools are workshops based on the idea that everyone has something to share, and everyone has something to learn.
Our Trade Schools have been a series of beginner creative workshops where we develop the skills we need to reimagine, repair, and make changes to our homes, streets and neighbourhoods.
Our Precious Plastics Trade Schools begin on 23 October, where we’ll be using recycled plastic (your old CDs and DVDs!) to make beautiful and practical objects for our homes.
Workshops will take place at The Factory (BS4 1ET) on the following dates:
Thu 23 October, 6-8pm
Thu 6 Nov, 6-8pm
Thu 20 Nov, 6-8pm
Thu 4 Dec, 6-8pm
Trade Schools are aimed at beginners. You do not need any skills or ‘knowhow’ to come along.
We are working to make our Trade Schools as accessible as possible for people who face barriers to these kinds of workshops: women, people of colour, working class people, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled people, people out of work.
Our 2026 Trade School programme will kick off in late January. To find out more, you can contact us at the details below.
